  12.         Celerity BBS may be obtained on many bulletin boards
  13. throughout the country, but only as a demo version.  If you wish to
  14. run a system with more than ten users and use your own handle as
  15. sysop, then you must get a registered copy.
  16.  
  17.         To acquire a registered copy, you must send in the shareware
  18. fees in the form of a check or money order (payable to The Lexicon)
  19. and complete the form below.  Send the required fees and form to the

  39. (ie: if you're reading this sometime in late 1992, I'd recommend you
  40. find a more recent copy of Celerity).

  45. The Celerity BBS software is provided as-is.  Periodic updates will be
  46. issued, usually at the rate of one version per month or two to solve
  47. bugs which may appear and add additional features.  We have no
  48. obligation to continue to develop Celerity, although we will most
  49. likely continue to do so for some time to come.

  51. If you want to try out Celerity before purchasing the package, you can
  52. find a demo version on most BBS systems.  Demo versions are complete,
  53. except for a 10-user limit and the inability to define a sysop handle.
  54. Demo versions may be found on quality bulletin boards everywhere.

  67. This form is for sysops who wish to license Celerity for use on their
  68. own personal bulletin board system.  Please fill out the form as
  69. completely as possible and select the options you wish.  The
  70. CelerityNet network is public, but we ask a $10 donation towards the
  71. upkeep of the 24-hour dedicated server.

  73. The Celerity support system for shareware versions is The Lexicon.
  74. The number is 714-627-0601, but it only accepts high speed 9600/14400
  75. bps calls.  If you do not choose to have the validation utility and
  76. software upgrades sent to you via U.S. Mail, you will have to call
  77. this system to get your validation utility.  Copies of the most recent
  78. version can be downloaded from this system, or you may send $5 to the
  79. above address to have a copy mailed to you.

  81. Periodically, old copies of Celerity will "expire", which is done to
  82. keep users from using archaic copies and upgrading from time to time.
  83. A version will usually last for about 4 months after the next version
  84. is released.  If you do not call the support board, and are not having
  85. copies mailed to you, it would be prudent to send us $5 every couple
  86. months for the latest version.

  88. Please note that if you register by mail, it may take a few weeks for
  89. your registration information to be sent to you.  The reason for this
  90. is that if a new version is pending release, we will wait until it is
  91. finished before sending out the new registrations, thus assuring that
  92. people get the latest version.

  124. validation utility which you may download from the Celerity support
  125. board, and access to download updates for one full year.  Please
